Research programmes

Battery assembly and connected mobility, built on research.

Primary focus · Laboratory setup

EV battery assembly lab

Developing a dedicated lab setup for EV battery module and pack assembly, with planned workstations, cell handling, BMS integration and end-of-line evaluation.

  • Cell inspection, sorting and traceability
  • Module assembly, joining and pack integration
  • BMS, electrical checks and thermal evaluation

Next-generation energy storage

Sodium-ion battery R&D

Planned research into sodium-ion cells and their suitability for battery modules and packs, assessing performance, lifecycle behaviour and integration requirements.

  • Cell characterisation and cycling studies
  • Temperature behaviour and safety evaluation
  • BMS compatibility and pack feasibility

Connected mobility systems

V2V hardware development

Developing the hardware foundation for our vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) solution, with planned communication modules, vehicle interfaces and mobile-app integration.

  • Communication boards and embedded firmware
  • Vehicle telemetry and mobile interoperability
  • Bench evaluation and controlled pilot planning

From lab setup to evaluated prototypes

  1. 01

    Set up

Plan assembly benches, cell handling, instrumentation and safe work areas.

  2. 02

    Characterise

Define sodium-ion cell studies, evaluation methods and acceptance criteria.

  3. 03

    Integrate

Build battery pack and V2V hardware prototypes with tracked revisions.

  4. 04

    Evaluate

Record bench results, integration observations and controlled pilot readiness.

Safety and compliance by design

Battery assembly, sodium-ion evaluation and V2V trials require appropriate infrastructure, qualified personnel and applicable approvals. Equipment, commissioning and test capabilities remain under development. No certified battery performance, protocol compliance or commercial deployment is claimed.
